According to the April 21, 2008 Daily News "Your Money" section, the job outlook is good this year for 2008 college grads. In an article by Will James, the exodus of more and more veteran workers in the next few years will make it necessary for companies to "back fill." However, the companies with the highest college grad recruitment tend to be large companies.

Dressing for Success
New York Newsday, Money & Careers (March 16, 2008) - featured an article on the importance of dressing appropriately for a job interview. The article is entitled, "Suit Yourself: The Right Interview Attire Can Go a Long Way in Securing a Job." According to Andrea Knies, a career counselor with the University of California-Irvine states that "It's the employer's first impression of you. It immediately shows them two important things: that you respect them and that this job is important to you." Other advice the article gives includes the importance of the details in dressing. Wrinkled clothes, worn-out shoes and rips and tears send the wrong message. On the other hand, an outfit that looks finished and fresh can communicate positive things about you and how you view your job.
